It is rare to find a salon nowadays that emphasize the health of your hair as much as the health of your body. Yet, when I sat down with Evolution–The Green Room owner, Natasha Paul, I was definitely greeted with a smile that could possibly change the world. I saw a business owner with a serious vision–to provide high quality services that focus on the health of your hair and body. This eco-friendly salon calls Brooklyn’s Boerum Hill its home and you are liable to get a warm, fuzzy feeling inside when you walk down the busy, Atlantic Avenue.
Evolution Green Room might just be the oasis for you to rest your weary head and body. Evolution Green Room focuses on eco-friendly and organic hair care products. The salon carries lines such as Miss Jessie’s, Jane Carter, Nouritress, and ABBA. The team also tries their best to use products free of parabens, sulfates, and carcinogenic preservatives. Natasha’s affinity for eco-friendly and organic products came out of a need to use products that were safe for her family of stylists. It’s hard enough to stand on your feet all day much less inhaling harmful fumes from chemical services.
When I chose the salon to feature, I was impressed that Evolution Green Room had so many fabulous reviews on Google and CitySearch. One reviewer noted:
Natasha is not only beautiful on outside, but exudes beauty from the inside, she is also an amazingly knowledgeable and gifted stylist, and she gave me an in-dept consultation. I was so impressed, when I thought things couldn’t get better, I was offered a tea service by her warm and friendly staff and then to top it of I received the most amazing hair wash and treatment. I sat back, enjoyed my service and observed how great all the stylists were, the atmosphere and at that point I knew I found my home………
Prices are not for those with light pockets as services range from $85 and up for relaxers and styling natural hair. Nonetheless, you pay for quality and efficiency. The salon has a no waiting policy in which they book according to the service. This means you probably won’t spend your whole Saturday “getting your hair done.” If you asked me, getting to a salon, getting in a chair, and leaving in a reasonable amount of time is priceless.
All in all I was impressed with Natasha’s professionalism and her energy. I urge you to visit Evolution Green Room as it will be beyond a salon visit—It will be a memorable experience!
